Position Overview
The Washington Commanders and Northwest Stadium are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Food & Beverage. This individual will serve as the primary liaison with our food and beverage partner, leading cross-functional collaboration to deliver a world-class fan experience while driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven ability to develop and execute operational strategies that align with organizational goals. This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Partnership
· Lead the overall food and beverage strategy in collaboration with Northwest Stadium’s F&B partner – aligning the organization’s brand, fan experience goals and business objectives.
· Serve as the central point of contact for all F&B-related initiatives across internal and external stakeholders.
· Partner with marketing to evolve and promote the stadium’s culinary identity, fan awareness, and drive positive fan experiences.
· Collaborate with the corporate partnership team to maximize sponsorship and activation opportunities.
· Advise on capital projects and new stadium planning from an F&B perspective.
Financial Oversight & Performance Metrics
· Develop and manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports in partnership with Finance.
· Lead the creation and oversight of the annual F&B budget.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (e.g., Voice of the Fan, Per-Caps, basket size, POS revenue).
· Implement pricing strategies to optimize revenue and margin performance, in collaboration with stadium’s F&B partner.
· Conduct event-by-event audits and verify invoices for accuracy.
Operational Excellence
· Ensure visibility & collaboration on day-to-day operations and logistics with stadium F&B partner & all food, beverage, and restaurant partners.
· Ensure alignment of eatery concepts, pricing, and menu offerings with revenue and fan experience goals.
· Streamline communication between departments regarding F&B programming and execution.
· Coordinate equipment and structure rentals for nontraditional activations.
· Ensure legal compliance and safety standards across all F&B operations.
Talent & Training
· Oversee & approve organizational structure, staffing levels, and training protocols for stadium F&B partner.
· Ensure all F&B staff participate in service and safety training programs.
· Cultivate a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Innovation & Community Engagement
· Research and implement industry best practices, including emerging technologies.
· Build and maintain relationships with local and national culinary leaders, including chefs, restaurateurs, and influencers.
· Develop local food programs that reflect community values and enhance the stadium experience.
· Identify consumer trends and introduce new concepts to elevate offerings and increase revenue.
Quality Assurance & Experience Delivery
· Maintain quality control across all F&B products and experiences.
· Support premium departments to ensure elevated service and menu standards in premium spaces.
· Lead hospitality efforts for suites and VIP stakeholders.
· Serve as the point person for special projects, strategic initiatives, and new partnerships.

Qualifications & Competencies
· Proven experience in food and beverage operations, preferably within sports, entertainment, or hospitality venues.
· Strong financial acumen and experience managing complex budgets.
· Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and manage multiple stakeholders.
