Built on innovation, accessibility, and competitive excellence, the UFL delivers the most engaging professional football experience in the world—for both players and fans. The league features eight teams: the Birmingham Stallions, Columbus Aviators, Dallas Renegades, DC Defenders, Houston Gamblers, Louisville Kings, Orlando Storm, and St. Louis Battlehawks.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Vice President, Business Intelligence will serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping the league’s enterprise-wide data and analytics vision. This individual will lead the development of scalable business intelligence capabilities that drive informed decision-making across the organization, while helping position the UFL as a data-forward, innovation-driven sports property.

This executive will partner closely with leadership across finance, ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, media, football operations, and consumer products to transform data into actionable business insights that support revenue growth, operational efficiency, fan engagement, and long-term league strategy.

The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, operator, and builder — someone who can lead high-level business conversations while also driving execution across systems, reporting, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategic Leadership & Analytics Vision

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of the league’s business intelligence, analytics, and data infrastructure initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a scalable enterprise-wide data ecosystem integrating ticketing, sponsorship, media, digital, merchandise, CRM, and football operations data.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities where data and analytics can improve business performance, operational efficiency, and fan engagement.
  • Establish league-wide KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and executive dashboards that support real-time business decision-making.
  • Deliver strategic insights related to attendance trends, fan behavior, customer acquisition, retention, pricing strategy, market opportunities, and potential expansion markets.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Business Performance & Revenue Optimization

  • Partner cross-functionally with ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, media, merchandising, and finance teams to optimize revenue performance and improve ROI across key business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and paid media partners on fan segmentation, audience analytics, campaign measurement, attribution modeling, and engagement strategies.
  • Drive league-wide research initiatives related to brand health, fan insights, consumer behavior, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range strategic planning through predictive analytics and business modeling.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and automation opportunities through analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Data Infrastructure & Governance

  • Lead the continued evolution of the league’s analytics platforms, reporting systems, and data architecture.
  • Establish best practices related to data governance, integrity, accessibility, standardization, and security.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, AI tools, and business intelligence solutions that support organizational growth.
  • Ensure data consistency and reporting alignment across league and team-level operations.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business intelligence and analytics function capable of supporting league-wide initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture centered around innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a cross-functional connector who can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data strategy, or related fields, including leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong experience within sports, media, entertainment, consumer, or other data-driven industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging analytics to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
  • Expertise in data governance, KPI development, reporting frameworks, and scalable analytics infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing AI-driven tools, automation solutions, and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, cloud data environments, and modern BI platforms.
  • Strong understanding of fan data, CRM systems, ticketing platforms, digital ecosystems, and consumer analytics.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into executive-level insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
