About the Position

The Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service will be responsible for developing and managing sales and service campaigns across a full menu of ticket products, including season memberships, group tickets, suites, and individual game tickets. This role will also oversee pricing, packaging and retention strategies as well as ticket operations across the league and team markets.

What you will do

Sales Strategy & Communication

Lead the planning, development, and activation of all UFL ticket sales product offerings, including new full season memberships, group tickets, suites and individual game tickets, as well as the service, retention, renewal and upgrade efforts for such products
Prepare and manage an annual Ticket Sales & Service business plan and budget that encompasses sales and retention of all tickets for each market; develop budgets and forecasts with Finance and Business Operations
Lead regular ticket sales team and local market team meetings and facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing ticket sales revenue
Work closely with League ticket sales staff in establishing and reviewing monthly and yearly sales revenue goals, retention goals, monitoring sales activities, and reporting of sales results for each team
Work to identify key partnerships that will assist in developing new distribution opportunities and manage secondary marketplace strategies
Lead the development of annual renewal campaigns and/or seat relocation plans
Provide reporting information on a regular basis of sales by product and retention volume and revenue totals on both departmental and individual seller levels
Working with team staff, oversee the development, planning and execution of group theme nights throughout the season
Develop procedures for outbound ticket sales efforts that address prospecting, lead generation, data capture and database management
Manage and measure the effectiveness of ticket sales and service-related technology tools, and explore newly available technology for opportunities to improve the overall results
Assist league and team marketing teams to develop strategies and campaigns to sell individual game tickets
Regularly and clearly document and communicate strategies to senior leadership and to team business leads and ticketing teams
Clearly articulate to teams their goals and objectives and current status

Analysis & Reporting

Lead the analysis of data to determine effectiveness of strategies and tactics
Develop processes to pivot strategies based on data results
Work with Business Intelligence team to provide daily reporting across products
Work closely with Business Intelligence and Marketing teams to maintain accurate customer and prospective customer records in our database and distribute leads in an efficient manner

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to establish, monitor and modify ticket prices across all team ticket sales and retention product offerings
Work closely with the UFL’s Marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies, plans and implementation of all ticket sales, service and retention driven campaigns
Solicit and vet ideas from teams
Work closely with Sponsorship team to develop partnerships that drive multiple revenue streams

Leadership

Provide overall leadership for all ticket sales, service and operations initiatives holding team members accountable for daily activity metrics.
Be the ticketing subject matter expert across the organization
Lead, train and motivate the League operations ticketing staff as well as the local team ticketing directors and reps
Orchestrate a professional sales culture that adheres to the brand values of the league

What you will bring

Minimum of 10 years of experience working in ticket sales and service with collegiate and/or professional sports franchises or facilities
Minimum of 6 years management experience overseeing sales teams
Experience managing and overseeing multiple sports properties
Experience in sports or entertainment event ticket pricing, packaging, resourcing, and selling
Proficiency in Archtics, Google Suite, Microsoft Office 365, CRM databases
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Competitive nature and a contagious, positive attitude
Strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments, and sales
Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sports industry
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, business, or a related field

The location of this role is remote
Primarily works in a remote office and/or an office environment but travel will be required
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Salary:

Pursuant to the state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this position with final offer dependent on education, skills, experience and location is $200,000 to $300,000. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits.
