About the Position
The United Football League (UFL) is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Creative Video & Production to lead all aspects of creative video content for the league and its eight teams. This role is responsible for managing the video production department, overseeing a team of content producers, and collaborating cross-functionally to execute high-impact storytelling across broadcast, social, digital, and in-stadium platforms. The ideal candidate will be a creative leader with a strong production background, a deep understanding of sports culture, and the ability to bring the UFL’s unique brand and voice to life through video.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of the video department, managing a team of videographers and editors across league and team content.
Oversee video pre-production planning, on-site production, and post-production workflows across the UFL and its eight teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including broadcast, game presentation, social media, digital, marketing, and communications—to deliver unified and strategic content across platforms.
Drive the creative direction and visual storytelling of the UFL brand, tailoring content for social media, in-game presentation, digital platforms, and external media partners.
Manage project intake and assignments, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content across all UFL entities.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Digital & Social strategy to execute best-in-class content for UFL social and digital channels
Develop and maintain creative standards and brand guidelines for all league and team video content.
Mentor and coach video team on creative execution, storytelling techniques, editing best practices, and production standards.
Ideate and produce original features, player profiles, hype videos, historical pieces, and behind-the-scenes content.
Coordinate production needs for press conferences, interviews, promotional shoots, and game-day content.
Manage the video production budget and ensure efficient use of resources, staff, and equipment.
Maintain and coordinate all camera equipment and production gear; oversee technical workflows and upgrades.
Act as a liaison with external media outlets, production crews, and third-party vendors.
Contribute to weekly creative meetings and long-term content planning efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in video production, broadcast journalism, film, or a related field.
8–10+ years of professional experience in sports video production, including shooting, editing, and storytelling.
Previous experience of leading a team.
Strong understanding of video production across social, digital, in-stadium, and broadcast environments.
Experience leading creative teams and managing complex production schedules.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), and other production tools.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of football or live sports production is strongly preferred.
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the football schedule.
Ability to travel as needed across the league’s markets.

The location of this role is in Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area
Primarily works in an office environment but may include attending select games and events in UFL team markets.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Salary
The anticipated base salary for this role is $105,000 - $115,000. This role is eligible for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401(k) plan, unlimited PTO and offers a discretionary bonus and an equity opportunity for future growth. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
