Basic Function:
Develop, manage, and execute opportunities at a Senior level to create memorable Houston Texans (“Club”) fan experiences through gameday, team initiatives and events. This person must think outside of the box, big picture, world class vision and make our events shine uniquely and next level to the Houston Texans.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee world class events including Texans gameday, Texans Foundation Events, Lone Star Sports & Entertainment Events (LSSE) and internal private events.
  • Manage, help execute and oversee staff who manage the gameday entertainment areas including but not limited to Gate Entertainment and NRG Stadium concourse entertainers.
  • Oversee the team that is planning and execution of large-scale events such as Draft Party, Season Premier, Watch Party, Training Camp, etc.
  • Leading by example and managing a group of 6 to 7 full time staff members and supporting all of their events.
  • Collaborate with assigned departments to determine the level of help and ensure proper event management.
  • Management responsibilities consist of but are not limited to timelines, event budgets, requesting quotes, providing vision boards and staffing.
  • Looking at events differently with a Get Better Mindset–out of the box thinker who can put special touches on events and make them unique to the Houston Texans brand.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders effectively and efficiently to bring together all event elements.
  • Ensure all elements related to sponsor presence and contract fulfillment are executed throughout marketing events and programs, if needed.
  • Conduct after-action review for event improvement purposes.
  • Research, review and recommend equipment, materials and supplies required in providing event services and planning.
  • Build event diagrams using design and drawing software.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with other departments to properly promote Club initiatives, goals and events.
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Guest Experience & Events.
Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.

    externally. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction to complete personal goals and as a team member in order to accomplish department goals.

  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 7 years full-time experience in sports, entertainment, event management, marketing or related field required.
