Essential Job Function:

 

Responsible for overseeing the strategy, production, and execution of long-form and short-form digital video content.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage two full-time producers that will brainstorm and execute long-form and short-form digital video content.
  • Lead the end-to-end production of serial digital content, including filming, editing, post-production, and creation of promotional content clips.
  • Oversee podcast production, managing formats to deliver best-in-class content that drives fan engagement, responds to audience feedback and performance data, and aligns with brand strategy and growth goals.
  • Manage the Texans Radio content pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Director of Digital and Director of Social to execute full content production process, from brainstorm and pre-production to post-production and ancillary content development.
  • Collaborate with the digital, social, partnership and production teams to maximize distribution and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for sponsorship integration and other monetization strategies.
  • Innovate content formats and production techniques.
  • Monitor best practices and trends in organic and branded social media video.
  • Perform various other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Director of Digital Media and Content Distribution.
  • Position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with departmental staff and other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in video production, content creation, or digital media.
  • At least one year experience supervising full-time employees.
  • Creative thinker with quick problem-solving ability.
  • Passion for football, sports media, and digital storytelling is a plus.
  • Desire to independently track and iterate approach based on analytics and clear annual KPIs.
  • Professional level writing and editorial skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, direct and motivate staff in a competitive, high-energy environment and industry
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information
  • Ability to work long, flexible hours including gamedays, evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications.

  • Occasional travel related to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, stand, walk, sit, drive, bend, squat, climb, twist and reach as necessary.
