Position Summary 
The Food and Beverage Director will lead, innovate, and elevate the food and beverage operation at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This position will lead a food and beverage team, ensure the highest quality dining experience and presentation, promote a unique and fun guest experience, and achieve financial performance targets. This role requires experience running a large and thriving banquet hall or an event venue, strong leadership and financial acumen, strategic planning and a commitment to delivering unmatched service. 
A Day in the Life
  • Lead the design, creation, strategy and operations of all food and beverage programming including menu development and implementation, beverage packages and service, inventory controls, liquor license oversight, kitchen equipment, budgets, inventory, and staffing including kitchen and pastry chefs, kitchen staff, serving staff for event venues of 1,000 plus guests. 
  • Oversee menu development for various event types and sizes, ensuring a variety of high-quality offerings, custom options, and unique and fun presentations, creating a culture where guests feel "wowed". 
  • Build a high-performance team that is well-trained, empowered, skilled and professional. 
  • Forecast, plan and manage all food and beverage orders. 
  • Manage inventory levels and order processes to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency.
  • Work with other departments to brand strategically in order to stand out in a crowded market; anticipate industry trends and innovate continuously. 
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of food and beverage operations to ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate food and beverage needs and food preparation for internal events. 
  • Enhance the culinary experience of guests by creating unique presentations.

Are you up for the challenge? Here are preferred qualifications we are searching for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food and Beverage, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Food and Beverage management of a large banquet hall or event venue serving small and large events.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends, service standards, and operational best practices. 
  • Proven experience with health, safety and sanitation standards and other food and beverage legal requirements. 
  • Experience leading a food and beverage team that includes chefs and kitchen staff, servers and bartenders. 
  • An understanding of the game of professional football is preferred.
