Job Overview: The New York Giants are seeking a Director, Corporate Partnerships to join their team at a very exciting time in the franchise's 100+ year history. With a strong focus on building relationships, Director, Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for prospecting, selling and securing new Giants corporate sponsorships across integrated team platforms and organizational lines of business.
Responsibilities/Functions:
- Prospect, cultivate and close new business partnerships leveraging the New York Giants- controlled sponsorship, media and hospitality portfolio of benefits
- Track, analyze and consistently grow new business sales pipeline to move prospects through the sales cycle
- Develop and foster relationships with prospective companies, properties, buying agencies and key decision makers
- Collaborate across internal departments to create integrated and effective sponsorship proposals
- Conduct discovery meetings with prospects to understand business needs and objectives and align Giants opportunities
- Develop compelling and creative sponsorship packages and proposals
- Effectively pitch and negotiate deals to close contracts, expand customer base, and achieve annual new business sales goals
- Analyze emerging business intelligence data sets to identify new sponsorship categories and create unique platform assets
- Consistently research best practices and trends within business and sponsorship disciplines
- Perform other functions and activities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- No less than five (5) years industry experience in a direct sales capacity
- Sports and entertainment sponsorship sales preferred
- Strong existing client relationships are preferred and direct working relationships with agencies are a plus
- An individual of superior self-confidence, enthusiasm and resilience who possesses a combination of forward-thinking and self-motivation to rise to the challenge and enable him/her to immediately establish credibility within and outside of the organization and to achieve sales results
- An individual with the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences. The successful candidate must possess the demonstrated ability to gain and enhance the respect and trust of superiors and peers
- Preferable to have experience selling in the NY/NJ marketplace
- Ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and to prioritize efficiently
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM.
- Possess an optimistic team attitude and competitive drive and work ethic
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, events, etc. and travel as needed
Director, Corporate Partnerships role is both Bonus and Commissions eligible.
