SUMMARY:
The Community Relations Coordinator will assist the Vikings organization in leveraging the team’s platform to deliver positive impact in the community.  This role will help guide the organization’s volunteer programming, execute consistent community events, league initiatives, and impact driving programs. This role will lead efforts to reach organizational goals for staff and fan volunteerism, including creating new opportunities to enhance philanthropic spirit and encourage participation. This role will also execute all community communication in collaboration with various internal departments to best reach the team’s goals of highlighting organizational impact. This role will also assist the Community Relations team in outreach to community and civic partners while driving collaboration to shared visions. The position will be responsible for working with high-profile stakeholders within the organization and managing several community non-profit relationships. This work will be performed in partnership and collaboration with the other Community Relations Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Help to facilitate organizational volunteerism programming that provides opportunities for Vikings staff to give back to the community.
  • Lead efforts for increasing volunteer participation with the addition of regular volunteer events and opportunities for staff.
  • Track impact of volunteerism and create incentive opportunities.
  • Oversee the annual Vikings Community Impact Report highlighting.
  • Help to lead community efforts in terms of communication – internal and external – to highlight the impact of Vikings staff, players, and fans in the community while tracking media measurables throughout the year.
  • Oversee the Community Relations ticket allotment for all game days. 
  • Support the community relations department with player events, league initiatives, community donations, and other Social Impact initiatives.
  • Assist as a liaison for all NFL league initiatives.
  • Aid in coordination of player community events during the season and execution of team community events throughout the year.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 1-2 years of impact experience is preferred.
  • Relationship-based mindset with a focus on collaboration and support within a team ecosystem.
  • Experience operating measurable, impactful community programming is a plus.
  • Required ability to be detailed, responsive, and concise with all written and verbal communication. 
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with confidential information.
  • Ability to navigate challenging circumstances under pressure and demonstrated skill in conflict resolution.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects and follow through to completion.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset and history of seeking innovative solutions.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a proven ability to work effectively within diverse communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record to build trust and rapport quickly, especially with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn organizational specific software platforms.
