Summary:
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting operations of the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, and its related entities. The roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: corporate event accounting, event settlements, banking, and ticketing.
Location:
- This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Event Accounting:
- Providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, and reporting of financial information for multiple entities
- Collaborating with multiple departments and performing monthly reconciliations for all applicable balance sheet accounts
- Validate invoices and match against budgets to ensure settlement accuracy
- Compare event budgets to actual and research variances
- Other Entities:
- Bookkeeping and monthly financial packages
- Banking:
- Bank Reconciliations
- Cash Receipts, Bank Transfers, and Incoming Wires
- Other:
- Box Office Ticketing
- Annual insurance renewals, insurance payments and prepaid insurance
- Willing to work on other ad hoc projects, as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 0–1-year relevant experience
- Meticulous, ambitious, organized, team player
