Summary:  
 
The Copywriter role helps to define the most creative, compelling and impactful narratives and messages for the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Open, and F1 Miami Grand Prix. This role must be able to take on complex goals and solve them crafting the best narratives, unique tone of voice, and custom messages and powerful CTAs, using brand storytelling and copywriting techniques mixing advertising, sports and entertainment content expertise. The ideal candidate is innovative and inspiring, consistent in establishing narrative, tone and copywriting guidelines, and a strong collaborator that can co-create and partner with internal and external partners. 
 
You’re passionate about producing compelling, world-class creative work, understand how to evolve and protect legacy brands like the iconic Miami Dolphins, while also bringing fresh energy to rapidly growing global platforms like F1 Miami GP and the Miami Open. Your work spans across generations and audiences, helping to shape the future of sports and entertainment storytelling.

  • This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. 
 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
  • Craft narratives that positively surprise fans, but that can also scale: campaigns, product launches, web and e-mail strategies, social content, and any other platform that can help strengthen our connection with fans. 
  • Help shape our brands distinctive tone of voice and messaging, developing their craft and execution to a level where it becomes globally recognizable and a benchmark in the industry. 
  • Collaborate and co-create with other internal content teams like Creative, Video and Social being an active and thoughtful contributor. 
  • Be a great collaborator on brainstorming sessions, contributing imaginative ideas and unique angles to fuel creative campaigns and content initiatives. 
  • Build concepts and outstanding copy for a diverse range of platforms and projects, including campaigns, scripts, product launches, editorial pieces and social content that drive awareness and action. 
  • Develop narratives, messaging frameworks, and strategic concepts that evolve and scale our brand voice across channels and touchpoints. Help define and document voice and tone guidelines for our brands. 
  • Track emerging trends in the digital culture and storytelling techniques to bring fresh thinking and edge to our creative process 
  • Someone that can push the boundaries of what’s possible in brand and content to fuel brands passion and leverage the results of our business unit. 
 
 
Qualifications: 
 
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in copywriting, preferred with a mix of sports brands, agency and in-house experience. 
  • Relevant experience in sports, entertainment and/or lifestyle brands is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience in concepting and executing brand and product narratives and campaigns, also content for e-mail, web and social platforms. 
  • Successfully works in a fast-paced environment, where innovation and rapid iteration are essential, and priorities shift frequently. 
  • Strategic decision maker that uses marketing and creative briefs, data insights and business priorities to drive projects accordingly. 
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • A creative book / portfolio that showcases your creative thinking and craft. 
  • Ability to write across tones — from bold and emotional to clear and instructional - and to turn complex ideas into clear, powerful and engaging copy
