The Vertical Video Manager creates bold, social-first vertical content for the Chargers, tapping into internet culture, trends, and memes across TikTok, Shorts, and Instagram Reels. We’re looking for someone deeply online, endlessly creative and excited to experiment with new ways to engage and grow our audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pitch, plan, create and publish content for Chargers social media platforms including but not limited to: memes, vertical video (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts), promotional/sponsored content, real-time reactionary content, game and event coverage
  • Demonstrate creativity and be a thought and idea leader
  • Lead content ideation around TikTok, Reels and Shorts
  • Collaborate with the video production team on paid and organic social-first video concepts
  • Monitor news and social media to identify what is trending in sports and relevant pop culture
  • Work gamedays with an emphasis on editing real time content in the Chargers voice
  • Optimize new and existing content for best performance on social platforms (TikTok, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook)


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in mobile-first editing tools like CapCut and Adobe Premiere
  • 4+ years experience in social media content creation


REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of curiosity
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok / Reels style editing and curation
  • Very Online: constantly on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit
  • Understanding of trends, memes, viral content and popular culture
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, with some travel required
  • Ability to think fast and execute quickly
