The Social Media Coordinator will sit on the Chargers Social Media Programming Team with a primary focus on the organization’s off-field efforts. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day coverage, ideation, execution and distribution of content across several Chargers ancillary accounts including: community (chargerscommunity), international markets (chargersgreece), team initiatives (chargerspup) and clubs (chargerssocialclub and the1960club).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute the day-to-day programming for Chargers ancillary accounts on Instagram
- Create content to support fan outreach, business objectives, community efforts and other Chargers and NFL initiatives
- Maximize event coverage by producing real-time content and building an evergreen library of assets for account programming
- Coordinate with internal creative and video teams to develop graphics, videos, and other social-first content
- Assist with capturing content at home games and at off-site promotional, community, and sponsored events
- Coordinate branded content requests and tracking for ancillary accounts
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates and cultural moments to inform content opportunities and maintain brand relevance
- Contribute to the Chargers overall social strategy through content coverage, creation and programming for tentpole events and on game days
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience posting on organic social accounts for a brand, event or organization
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends
