Position Summary
The Los Angeles Chargers are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Asset Management Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day of the Chargers’ media asset management system, while also using technical skills to achieve goals and solve problems across the organization. This role reports to the Senior Director, Technology.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ingest, organize, and maintain a library of raw video, edited deliverables, audio, graphics, etc.
- Develop and enforce consistent folder structures, naming conventions, and versioning protocols across all storage systems
- Maintain and optimize metadata schema, tag assets with comprehensive metadata for search
- Troubleshoot media playback issues and storage connectivity problems on client workstations
- Identify inefficiencies in editorial workflows and implement improvements
- Assess, organize, structure an existing archive of unmanaged media, making legacy assets discoverable and usable for current productions
- Take initiative in identifying where the MAM system could better serve the team, and see those improvements through from proposal to implementation
- Understand the inner-workings of post-production infrastructure including on-prem storage, cloud archive, transcoders, servers, and networking
- Coordinate the transfer of media from off-site events including away games, league events, etc.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of cinema camera systems, audio recorders, and other production equipment
- Ability to communicate complex information in an easy to understand way for video editors and managers
- Strong organizational skills a must
- Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite of applications, especially Premiere Pro & After Effects
- Previous experience with Media Asset Management systems such as Iconik encouraged, but not required
- Understanding of a variety of video codecs and containers
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure

Expected Salary Range
$50,000 - $60,000 + Overtime
