The Training Camp Football Communications Intern will assist with day-to-day responsibilities for the communications department during the team’s annual Training Camp at Loyola Marymount University. The individual will assist with football-related media responsibilities such as facilitating interviews with players and coaches, recording and transcribing press conferences, and assisting with media logistics.
Role Responsibilities:
- Helping with the processing and distribution of credentials and parking for media
- Processing and facilitating media requests for players and coaches
- Press Conference setup
- Transcribing news conferences for key players and coaches
- Help compiling news clippings to be disseminated to staff
- Assisting with media monitoring
- Printing of team rosters for media
Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):
- Strong writing skills and experience
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail and work effectively to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office and Excel software
- Currently enrolled in a college or university
- College sports media experience preferred
Pay Rate: $17.81/hour
