The Senior Analyst for the Strategy & Analytics team at the Los Angeles Rams will be responsible for owning the complex business analytics priorities for all consumer revenue areas of the business. In this role, you will be a primary stakeholder in operational projects for the Ticketing Sales and Service, Ticketing Operations, Suites, Concessions, Merchandise & Event Operations teams. You will use a robust analytical skillset to deliver insightful analysis based on advanced analytical models. Your work will be used by department heads at the Los Angeles Rams to help drive better and more strategic business decisions.

This role will play an integral part in identifying areas to drive consumer revenue growth and setting the standard for gamedays for the Los Angeles Rams.
 
Responsibilities:
Dashboarding & Reporting:
  • Run regular reports and analyses using a variety of tools (Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL server, Tableau, Google Looker, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain complex, multi-layered dashboards to enable clear visibility into gameday and business performance
  • Synthesize insights from regular reports and send findings to stakeholders on regular cadence
 
Data Management & Operations:
  • Extract, join, and transform data from a variety of databases and data sources (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, SFTPs, etc.)
  • Assure data quality by conducting regular quality assurance checks against source systems
  • Collaborate with in-house data engineers and third-party data technology partners to maintain clean data environments for analytics use cases
  • Build automated data pipelines into CRM (Salesforce) for efficient sales targeting
  • Develop data workflows for a variety of operational use cases
 
Analytical Modeling & Insights:
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques (statistical-modeling / model visualization) to extract actionable insights through analysis of large-scale, high-dimensional data from a variety of data sources
  • Analyze guest feedback surveys to identify areas of opportunity to improve event operations and guest experience
  • Develop and maintain lead scoring models for premium sales teams using a variety of data source inputs
  • Analyze ticketing sales and service data, concessions/merchandise data, and event operations data to develop insights and recommendations for operational improvements
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support key business objectives from a variety of departments
 
Other:
  • Create presentations to share insights with department leaders
  • Assist during all Los Angeles Rams gamedays
  • Take on other duties as assigned
 
Basic Role Qualifications:
  • BA/BS college degree or its equivalent in relevant area – Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced proficiency with visualization tools (Tableau and Google Looker expertise is a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency with ETL and other data workflow tools (Alteryx, Matillion, etc)
  • Proficient with common data languages (SQL, Python, R, etc)
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Data Platform (Big Query, Looker, GA4, etc.)
  • Ability to think critically and analyze data from a variety of sources
  • Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously, highly collaborative, able to build long-term relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized and detailed orientated
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with sports team or entertainment venue
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics or Mathematics is a plus
  • Familiarity with Ticketmaster / Archtics Data Platform
  • Demonstrated success using statistical, quantitative modeling, and forecasting methods (e.g. R, Python)
  • Experience working on projects related to pricing, customer retention, sales lead scoring, survey research/text analytics
  • Experience using workflows or scripts for automation purposes
 
Expected Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 + bonus (pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications)
