The Los Angeles Rams Accounting Senior Manager is a key member of the Finance department. Reporting to the Controller, you will oversee and maintain day-to-day accounting operations and support the overall financial well-being of the Club. The role involves managing the recurring accounting tasks and procedures as well as offering invaluable insights to drive company initiatives forward. You are a leader, problem solver, and innovator.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and timely distribute accurate financial management reports, including but not limited to, internal monthly financial statements, NFL league reporting, and annual audits
  • Assist in preparation and completion of the annual budget and monthly reforecasting
  • Work collaboratively with operational leads to develop data integrity and accurate accounting approaches for revenues and expenses
  • Perform month-end close duties including general ledger review, balance sheet account reconciliations, and budget to actual reporting
  • Review and approve accounts payable invoices and expense reports to ensure proper coding and timely disbursement
  • Monitor the activities of the accounts receivable function to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, and other management reports
  • Support the implementation of new accounting, finance and technology systems
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of GAAP
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; "Big Four" and/or startup experience a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with the following software is a plus: MS Great Plains, Vena, Concur
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Superior analytical skills: ability to analyze from both a micro level and a macro level
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with upper management amongst the Club’s front office and football operations personnel

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000. Exact compensation may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, certifications and experience.
