The Youth and High School Football coordinator will be responsible for expanding Rams youth football programming, increasing girls and boys youth football participation, growing the Rams fan base through the vehicle of youth football, assisting in high school football efforts and collaborating with various internal and external key stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the football development team leadership to contribute to the strategic vision and execution of growing the game of girls and boys youth and high school football.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of youth football community programming and Rams youth football camps and clinics.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of Rams youth flag football leagues.
- Coordinate and develop youth tackle football sustainable efforts.
- Coordinate PLAY 60 Field Days at local schools.
- Work cross functionally to ensure maximum impact.
- Oversee training camp and game day groups and experiences.
- Understand the current landscape of youth football in the Los Angeles market and actively develop and maintain relationships.
- Manage database of youth and high school football contacts.
- Establish metrics for youth football programming to narrate the impact, create annual departmental reports and recap documents.
- Manage and organize youth football equipment inventory and assist with mailing out youth football donation items.
- Maintain relationships and collaborate with league partners (GenYouth, USA Football, RCX, etc.) on various events.
- Administer and track support of player and/or Legend led youth football camps or initiatives.
- Assist with youth and high football components of key corporate partnerships.
- Assist with high school football initiatives.
- Support the planning and execution of international football development programs.
- Maintain the youth and high school football website pages (updates, recaps, photos etc.)
- Apply for select NFL Foundation Grants (Coach of the Week, Don Shula Coach of the Year, Athletic Training Grant and more)
- Assist in content creation for the Rams Community Instagram page.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and strategic planning processes for youth football initiatives.
Role Qualifications:
- The ability to conceptualize, execute, and see projects through completion in alignment with timelines given.
- Thorough understanding of the Los Angeles youth football landscape.
- Experience in event planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent oral skills.
- Skilled in establishing and growing new relationships.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ability to work with coworkers and supervisors in a team environment.
- Ability to move items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to handle physical rigors of event set up, break down and related job functions.
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and collaborate.
- Must exhibit professionalism when interacting with staff, members of the media, and players/coaches.
Salary: $24.04/hr. + Eligible for overtime pay.
