Who are the San Antonio Gunslingers?

Now gearing up for our 6th season, the San Antonio Gunslingers are the city’s own professional Indoor Football team. We deliver fast-paced, hard-hitting indoor football action wrapped in a family-friendly atmosphere that keeps everyone on their feet.

Our season runs from March through July, with eight electrifying home games hosted at the historic Freeman Coliseum. Each game brings a unique theme night experience, packed with entertainment, fan contests, and plenty of chances to take home prizes and free Gunslingers gear.

Position Description

The San Antonio Gunslingers are looking for a dynamic Director of Sales that will train and lead a sales team that is focused on building strong corporate partnerships that ultimately provide our partners with great value and accomplish their marketing goals. The Director of Sales will work closely with the President and Vice President on all aspects of sales including trade deals.

Responsibilities

● Oversees all aspects of Gunslingers sales
● Meet or exceed yearly sales goals as established by Senior Management
● Research and identify potential categories and specific companies to target via direct, phone contact, networking and events
● Prospect and qualify all potential sales opportunities
● Develop and present customized sponsorship advertising proposals that may include signage, broadcast, print, promotions and fan engagement strategies
● Oversee the day-to-day activation of promised deliverables once a new account has been signed
● Assist with retention and revenue growth efforts during renewal campaigns
● Have the ability to rise to the challenge and provide the hard work necessary to succeed
● Help plan and execute weekly sales meetings
● Other special projects and duties as assigned


Qualifications

● Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing and/or communications or equivalent experience
● Minimum 2-3 years successful track record in sports or media sales, focusing on new business
● Excellent relationship building, inter-personal and communication skills
● Strong attention to detail
● The ability to work independently and demonstrate innovation and initiative
● Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
● Must be proficient in computer software, including Google Docs and PowerPoint
● Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, managing multiple projects, schedules, budgets and clients at the same time. Strong time management skills
● Must be able to commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach sales goals. Attendance at a majority of Gunslingers home games and other organizational events is required, which will help grow your business
