The New Mexico Chupacabras are Albuquerque’s newest professional indoor football franchise, dedicated to delivering exciting game-day experiences, community impact, and fan engagement across New Mexico. We are building a premier franchise that reflects our state’s culture and passion for sports, while providing real-world opportunities for young professionals to grow in the sports industry.

Position Overview

The Sales, Marketing & Mascot Internship is designed for students and young professionals interested in sports business, fan engagement, and entertainment performance. Interns will gain hands-on experience in sales outreach, marketing campaigns, game-day operations, community engagement, and mascot performance. This is an unpaid internship with opportunities for college credit.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

Assist in developing and executing sponsorship and partnership outreach.
Support ticket sales initiatives including group, season, and promotional sales.
Create and help deliver marketing campaigns, social media content, and fan engagement strategies.
Assist in preparing sales decks, proposals, and activation reports for sponsors.
Conduct market research on target demographics, competitors, and potential partners.
Participate in community outreach events, school visits, and promotional activations.

Mascot Performance

Serve as a team mascot performer at home games, appearances, and community events.
Engage fans of all ages with high energy, creativity, and professionalism.
Work with the marketing and operations team to develop mascot skits, promotions, and in-game entertainment.
Assist in prop/costume maintenance and mascot logistics.
Represent the team with a positive and family-friendly attitude at all times.

Qualifications

Current college student or recent graduate in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or related field.
Outgoing personality with strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Comfortable with public speaking, community interaction, and performance.
High energy level and willingness to perform in a mascot costume for extended periods.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and game days.
Passion for sports, entertainment, and community engagement.
