Description

The Iowa Barnstormers Football Club, is a dynamic, locally owned, highly successful franchise that plays in the Indoor Football League. Based in Des Moines, IA, the team is seeking an energetic, motivated individuals to serve as the team’s mascot(s) for the 2019 season! This is a part time, hourly position.

Responsibilities

Must attend all Iowa Barnstormers regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena as Billy the Barnstormer
Take good care of all uniform and costume pieces related to Billy the Barnstormer including proper storage
Perform as Billy the Barnstormer at Season Ticket Holder, sponsor, and community events as deemed important to the organization
Add entertainment to the game presentation experience
Mascot introduction during pre-game
Assist with in-game promotions such as the halftime football fling
Operate Billy the Barnstormer’s golf cart/plane
Spontaneous, positive, and upbeat crowd interaction during games and at events
Positive interaction with fans and children at games and events
Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights and weekends
Distribute Barnstormers promotional items designed to help increase fan spirit and attendance at games and events

Requirements

Ability to serve as mascot at Iowa Barnstormers home games and community events/appearances
Excellent interpersonal skills (especially with children)
Fun, energetic, spontaneous personality
Must be reliable and punctual
Strong non-verbal communication skills
Prior mascot experience (preferred, but not necessary)
