The Social Media & Graphics Intern will play a key role in helping tell the story of the Indoor Football League through bold visuals, creative storytelling, and engaging digital content. From designing eye-catching graphics to crafting social captions and assisting with photography or short-form video, this role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing content for a professional sports league.

This internship reports directly to the Director of Media and runs from December–August. It is a remote, unpaid position that offers national exposure and valuable insight into the fast-paced world of sports media. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assist in documenting the IFL season through best-in-class social media content.
  • Create engaging visuals for social media platforms, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Media to brainstorm and execute creative content ideas.
  • Write and edit copy for posts across all league social media channels.
  • Design graphics for web, digital, and video integration using official brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to short-form video projects through simple edits or motion graphics (if applicable).
  • Stay current on social media and design trends to help evolve the league’s digital presence.
  • Organize and maintain a library of social and design assets.
  • Work independently and maintain a high level of professionalism in a remote team environment.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements
  • Sharp editorial skills with strong grammar, spelling, and an understanding of brand tone.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and content strategies.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and ideally InDesign, Lightroom, or After Effects.
  • Basic video or photo editing skills preferred.
  • Strong visual sense and understanding of layout, composition, and typography.
  • Excellent communication, creativity, and organizational skills.
  • Must have a basic understanding of football.
  • Must have access to your own computer, design software, and reliable internet.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
