The Fishers Freight will officially kick off and compete in the brand new Fishers Event Center in March 2025 in the IFL (Indoor Football League).The team will play eight (8) regular season games at home and 16 games total. The Indoor Football League is the highest level of professional indoor football in the United States. The IFL is America’s longest continuously-running indoor football league and is the second-longest running professional football league in the U.S., after only the National Football League. The IFL was founded in 2009 and begins its 16th consecutive season of play in 2024.

The Fishers Freight is looking for energetic and motivated local college students for our 2025 Game Operations internship program. We take pride in offering fans a fast paced and exciting football environment and interns are integral in making this come to life. We aim to provide our interns with rich sports industry experience and help to prepare them for their future opportunities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Execute pre-game set up and tear down
Participate in sponsored elements and assist fans taking part in intermission activities
Assist with post game jersey auctions and open skate when applicable
Assist with game promotion planning, research, and execution
General organization of storage areas
Assist Sponorship and Ticketing department with various projects when needed
Plan and attend community events and mascot appearances
Support front office team through various office administrative tasks

Skills and Requirements

Able to receive college credit for your internship
Must be able to work the majority of home games
Must be able to work a 5-8 hour office administrative shift once every 1-2 weeks
Being able to stay on from the start of the semester (January) to the end of the season (July) is preferred.
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to work effectively with little to no supervision
Must be able to troubleshoot in response to challenges
Must have excellent communication skills and act as a team ambassador with every interaction
Must have excellent strong personal organizational skills

*Please note: Interns are paid $50 for game day shifts, though office hours and community events are unpaid. This is not a remote opportunity, must be local to the Indianapolis area during the season.
