JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales & Business Development Department is responsible for generating revenue for the Green Bay Packers organization through the sale of corporate sponsorships.

The department is also responsible for managing relationships with corporate partners.

 

Interns will be responsible for assisting the Sales & Business Development staff in day-to-day operations of the department. This includes but is not limited to client / partner relations, proposal research and development, as well as category analysis and emerging trends to experience hands on sales training in sports sponsorship. 

 

This is a paid, full-time (40 hours per week) internship including hours during the work week (Monday-Friday). Interns must be present in the office (the internship cannot be completed remotely). Interns may also be asked to work nights, holidays and weekends as needed. Attendance is required for all applicable home games, training camp and marquee events (i.e. Family Night).

 

Internship timeframe: June 2026 – June 2027. The official start/end date is subject to change and will be dictated by the Packers.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Sales & Business Development materials for clients, including customized sponsorship sales decks, client communications, and supporting research and data.
  • Attend select meetings with Sales & Business Development staff and partners; recap discussions and identify key partner goals, objectives, and opportunities for strategic follow-up.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative needs for the Sales & Business Development team to learn the fundamentals of sports sponsorship sales, partnership strategy, and revenue generation.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to renewal support and partnership fulfillment.
  • Support client hospitality initiatives on game days, during training camp, and at special events.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of Sales & Business Development activities during training camp, including client hospitality visits, sales presentations, and real-time pitch development with supporting data.
  • Help coordinate, plan, and develop case studies and best practices to support future renewals and partner prospecting efforts.
  • Research and identify emerging categories, trends, and business opportunities for the Packers’ Sales & Business Development team, supporting outbound sales efforts.
  • Conduct research, pre-qualify leads, and develop relevant data-driven narratives & storytelling for current and prospective sponsorship partners; graphic design and data visualization skills are a plus to strengthen sales presentations.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of Sales & Business Development game day elements.
  • Perform daily computer-based work, including PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, Visme, and related documentation.
  • Practice strong communication skills with client-facing meetings, and balance time management projects across a full sales team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (junior status minimum) in related field.
  • Previous work experience in sports marketing and/or sports marketing events outside of classroom work required. Example: internship / volunteer time with a sports team or athletic dept.
  • Internship and/or part-time experience with other sports teams preferred.
  • Above average communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to handle various projects at one time while performing at a very high level.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, within a team environment.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for periods of time.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift and carry 25-50 pounds.
  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.

 

TRAVEL: Some travel between buildings is required.

 

SUPERVISES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
