JOB SUMMARY:
The Green Bay Packers’ Public Affairs team is searching for a self‐motivated, college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field, to intern full time from January 2026 through June 2026. We are looking for a strong writer with strategic communications skills who can assist our Public Affairs staff in everyday corporate communications functions as well as ongoing projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists with the writing, editing and proofreading of press releases, media advisories and other media materials as needed.
- Write content for Packers.com related to community and public affairs topics.
- Use Cision and other media monitoring platforms to complete media reports to build interesting, helpful media coverage reports for all departments.
- Help develop, write, edit and proofread content for internal and external communication pieces, including newsletters, social media and email content for Packers departments and initiatives.
- Facilitate media coverage and interview requests for events, press conferences, film and documentary shoots, etc., including during some gamedays.
- Research public affairs topics to facilitate connections with stakeholders and elected officials
- Build media contacts lists, keeping up-to-date on different outlets and reporters for a variety of topics as needed.
- Build and maintain Public Affairs Stakeholders contact lists
- Field inquiries from fans, media and members of the public as needed.
- Assist with football communications as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including writing skills.
- Proficient in AP Style.
- Assist internal and external clients in a polite, friendly, and knowledgeable manner.
- Follow through with projects and requests from start to finish.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Availability to work weekends, after-hours and some holidays as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to reach, stoop, and lift on a frequent basis.
- Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
- Operates in a professional office environment.
- Role routinely uses standard office equipment.
SUPERVISES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
