Internship Session: Fall 2026 (Sep 8 - Dec 11)
Job/Project Description:
This position supports the execution of education, clinics, resources, and events. This position will also support programming and assist with other functions within the Sport Development Team in support of the advancement of the Football Development Model.
Essential Functions:
- Supports the creation of new programming and resources to engage USA Football Stakeholders.
- Provides support for coach education
- Provides support for official’s education
- Provides support for parent/guardian and athlete education
- Assist with the enhancement and evolution of educational content
- Coach and Official’s certifications
- Development of USA Football Institute resources
- Supports the execution of educational events
- Assist in the development of content
- Suggest useful resource materials
- Provide progress reports to appropriate USA Football stakeholders
- Active involvement in resource and content delivery for USA Football Community
- Support the USA Football advisory council structure
- Observe the work of the committee
- Proved input on agendas and supplements in preparation for meetings
- Maintain committee contact information
- Attend committee meetings
- Represent USA Football, in presentations, at clinics, at conventions, and meetings as requested and assigned
- Attend team meetings and other staff meetings as assigned, summarize notes, and provide feedback as needed.
- Support the acquisition of information on current rules and regulations related to youth and high school football
- Stay current and report on health and Safety topics related to football
- Stay current and report on athlete development and training techniques, technologies, and products that directly or indirectly serve to advance the game of football
- Other duties as assigned by the Sport Development Team
Experience/Skills/Qualifications Desired:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstration of teamwork and interpersonal skills is essential.
- Extensive computer knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of national sports governing bodies structure and function.
- Ability to work independently.
Education Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
- A field of study in Education, Sports Management, Health and Human Performance, or a related discipline is preferred.
