Internship Session: Spring 2026: January – April
Job Function:
USA Football is searching for a motivated individual to be a supportive member of our Marketing Team. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to expand their marketing knowledge and gain hands-on experience through a variety of projects supporting brand awareness, promotional campaigns, and audience engagement initiatives within a national sports governing body. The Intern will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations.
This intern position will also have the opportunity to create a presentation to share with marketing and sales directors and appropriate product owners on competitive brand and/or marketing strategies upon the conclusion of the internship.
This position is remote.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive presentation over the length of the internship to share with internal directors and product owners.
- Assist with copywriting for various marketing efforts, including email, paid advertisements, web content, print materials, white papers, content marketing, and blogs.
- Support email marketing initiatives, including email builds and managing content updates.
- Assist in gathering testimonials and facilitating communication with various audience segments (coaches, athletes, parents).
- Perform proof-reading, editing, and quality assurance checks on marketing materials to ensure brand consistency and accuracy.
- Conduct market research projects to identify trends and competitive landscapes.
- Provide event promotion support, seeking opportunities for both free and paid promotion channels.
- Assist with other brand marketing and promotional projects as assigned.
- Conduct partnership opportunity research and ideation.
Requirements/Recommended Competencies:
- Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: copywriting/editing, email marketing platforms, or paid digital advertising.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and highly reliable.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with varying levels of importance.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote setting; must be a dependable self-starter and accountable to teammates.
Education Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
- A field of study in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
