USA Football is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Intern, Growth and Recruitment Grassroots. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the growth of football across the nation by engaging with grassroots organizations and supporting key recruitment initiatives.

Job Function
The Growth & Recruitment Grassroots Intern will play a crucial role in driving engagement and increasing participation in USA Football's products and programs. This involves proactive prospecting, meticulous management of sales lists, and comprehensive data work aimed at boosting enrollments, course completions, and memberships. A key component of this role will be providing customer support through Zendesk, ensuring a positive experience for our stakeholders. The intern will collaborate closely with Regional Managers and may also support the National Team Development Program, Events, Grants, and Marketing teams.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist the Regional Manager in driving engagement and achieving growth targets within a specific region.
  • Lead renewal efforts, encouraging organizations to re-enroll and continue utilizing USA Football's educational resources for coaches.
  • Support Regional Managers by identifying and prospecting potential leagues and administrators.
  • Manage and meticulously track sales lead lists, logging all activity accurately within Salesforce.
  • Conduct virtual meetings, phone calls, and email communications to foster relationships and drive business objectives.
  • Provide essential support for USA Football initiatives and respond to support tickets via Zendesk.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives for the National Team Development Program (NTDP), Membership, Events, and Grants teams as needed.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications Desired
  • Experience in sales or customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort using various software tools.
  • Exposure to or experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision and strong judgment.

Education
  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
  • A degree or major in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field of study is preferred.
