Job/Project Description:

USA Football is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as the Events and Program Experience Intern. This position provides hands-on experience supporting the planning, logistics, and execution of USA Football's premier events and programs, including the U.S. National Team events, Talent ID Camps, NTDP Program, Junior International Cup, Select Bowl, and various other community programs.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication (written and verbal) to all stakeholders for various programs and events, including U.S. National Teams, High Performance, Talent ID Camps, NTDP Program Events, Junior International Cup, etc. This includes communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and league directors.
  • Communicate with new and prospective athletes and leagues via phone and email to assist with their accounts and event opportunities, supporting strategic goals.
  • Assist with operational and logistical planning for programs and events including, U.S. National Team Events, Blitz, Junior International Cup, Select Bowl, and other events as assigned.
  • Provide detailed customer service to all international teams competing in the Junior International Cup, covering details on travel, meals, housing, practice schedules, game play, and other necessary communication.
  • Assist with Junior International Cup operational staff communication and brainstorm ways to improve efficiency in communication flow to coaches, teams, staff, and operational personnel.
  • Contribute to brainstorming creative ideas focused on enhancing the customer experience for athletes, parents, fans, coaches, and referees.
  • Assist with on-site execution and management for various USA Football events and programs as needed.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications Desired:
  • Experience with a sports team, athletic department, or event operation is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: specifically Excel and Word.
  • Prior customer service and/or events experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage a high volume of detail-oriented work accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter attitude—ability to deliver results with minimal direction and strong judgment regarding when to seek clarification.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time (required for event execution).

Education:
  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
  • Sports Management or a related field of study is preferred.
