USA Football is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Intern, Athlete Recruitment. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the growth of football across the nation by supporting the National Team Development Program (NTDP) and increasing participation in our events.

Job Function
The Athlete Recruitment Intern will play a crucial role in driving engagement and increasing registrations for USA Football’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) events, including Talent ID Camps and Accelerators. This involves proactive prospecting, meticulous management of sales lists, and comprehensive data work. A key component of this role will be providing customer support through Zendesk, ensuring a positive experience for our stakeholders. The position may also interact with the Grassroots team to collaborate on youth league initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
- Work closely with the NTDP Recruitment team to drive engagement and participation within the program.
- Identify and prospect potential athletes and competitive flag football clubs for NTDP events.
- Contribute to the promotion and registration efforts for Talent ID Camps (TID) and Accelerators.
- Manage and meticulously track sales lead lists, logging all activity accurately within Salesforce.
- Conduct virtual meetings, phone calls, and email communications to foster relationships and drive program objectives.
- Provide essential support for USA Football initiatives and respond to support tickets via Zendesk.
- Potentially attend events to assist with on-site logistics and participant support.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications Desired
- Experience in sales or customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort using various software tools.
- Exposure to or experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with football or the sports industry is a plus.
Education
- Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
- A degree or major in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field of study is preferred.
