The Tennessee Titans are looking for a data-driven and solutions-oriented Business Insights Analyst who will be responsible for data warehouse management, analytics, and research projects for multiple business functions across the Titans organization. This candidate will regularly be called upon to build and execute multi-faceted analyses, create presentations, generate ideas, and lead internal and external groups through a variety of year-round research projects. 
The Business Insights Analyst will report to the Director of Business Intelligence & Marketing Strategy and will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships, Digital, Marketing, Ticketing, Stadium Operations, and Finance teams to drive data-driven decision making, ensure we hit business and departmental KPIs and revenue generating objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the Titans Data Warehouse and other external data sources including the maintenance of data storage, retrieval systems, legal regulations, database connection and expansion, troubleshooting procedures and safety protocols 
  • Organize, analyze, and present data from ticket sales and operations, merchandise sales, social media interaction, survey responses, third party resources, stadium operations, capital expenditures, and corporate partnerships
  • Research and evaluate opportunities in order to provide team executives with strategic recommendations and alternatives on critical business initiatives 
  • Manipulate and mine data from database tables (Data Warehouse, SQL server) using advanced analytics tools and techniques (SQL, Python, R) to extract actionable insights
  • Use SQL queries to retrieve business information, respond to ad hoc requests, and develop reporting using information from our database and ensure accuracy of these reports 
  • Organize, interpret, translate, and present data and findings from internal data sources and various 3rd party data providers (ie. YouGov, Zoomph, Adobe Analytics, Conviva) to extract consumer insights and drive Corporate Partnerships sales narrative
  • Provide reporting and analysis of digital/social content performance, engagement trends, pricing, and inventories, as well as research fan behavior data across all digital channels and identify key trends
  • Help to create and deliver polished, compelling consumer insights presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, validation, automation, efficiency, and overall process improvement 
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, economics, mathematics, computer science, programming, business administration or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics, relation-based databases, or business intelligence 
  • Experience in writing and implementing T-SQL with Microsoft SQL Server (or comparable DBMS)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Dynamics is required, working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting (SSRS), Tableau, and statistical languages such as Python or R is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regression analysis, decision trees, ML, etc. and the ability to express complex concepts in simple terms 
  • Curious self-starter who can derive complementary insights from seemingly disconnected data 
  • Must possess excellent reasoning, problem-solving, creative thinking and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and outstanding attention to detail
  • Highly organized with ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritize, while working on a small team
