Event Operations Intern

Internship: Internship
To support Event Operations with various tasks including but not limited to those detailed below.  Purpose of the Internship is to grow and develop the Intern’s knowledge of sports & entertainment business and operations through tasks supporting the department. 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned
  • Manage select events as assigned, including internal & external meetings in various areas
  • Support Event coverage as needed
  • Support game day and event activities as assigned
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
  •  Job shadow select departments as assigned
  •  Update various Event Operations templates 
  •  Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Event Operations and Guest Services and the Assistant General Manager 
  • Facilitate review and storage of event files 
  • Research best practices as assigned
  •  Attend department meetings and complete minutes as assigned
  • The employee is often required to lift up to 20-40 pounds.
Required Skills: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Must have good communication skills. 
  • Must have good writing skills
  • Must be able to display a professional demeanor and establish solid relationships with staff and clientele. 
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Publisher and Excel a plus.
  • Must be available to work varied days and hours.
Time Frame: 
This internship is scheduled to run from early July through May.
Applicant must: 
  • Be currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or recent graduate (within 6 months) from a four-year college or university. Grad school students are eligible to apply as well. 
  • Have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Have a current driver’s license
  • Be able to work 30 hours per week, which can include game day/nights, weekends and other various events during non-standard weekday work time frames.

Selection Process:
Final applicants will be contacted and invited to participate in our interview process starting in early May. All interviews will take place at our team headquarters in Renton or at our stadium in Seattle and must be done in person. Further, we will not pay for any interview related expenses such as travel or lodging; these expenses are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

Interns are responsible for their own housing, travel, and relocation expenses. A background check will be conducted prior to starting work with us.
