The Junior Software Developer will be supporting the Steelers Technology Department in the maintenance and development of proprietary software systems. The position is for a full stack developer and will work directly with NFL and statistical data sets with our in-house Lead Developer and implement a variety of systems, tools, automation, and data flow processes.
**This is a FT onsite position with regular office hours M-F

Duties and Responsibilities:
-          Design, code, and test web applications.
-          Assist front office staff when issues occur in the applications.
-          Debug and remediate issues as they arise.
-          Maintain and develop SQL databases
-          Help develop new features and functionality as requirements changes
 
Requirements:
-          Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
-          Basic proficiency with backend languages such as Java or C#
-          0-3 years’ experience with SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
-          Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio or VS code.
-          General knowledge of web technologies and experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
-          Knowledge of version control specifically Git
-          Understanding of Object-Oriented programming and the software development lifecycle.
-          Communication skills, particularly non-technical conversations.
-          Experience with Windows environments

Preferred Skills:
-          Experience using front-end frameworks and libraries such as Angular, Vue, or React
-          Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS
-          Basic Knowledge of design patterns such as dependency injection.
-          Previous experience with basic UI design and the use of CSS.
-          Strong SQL skills
-          Advanced understanding of the game of football preferred
