The role of the IT assistant (Post Graduate Intern) is to support the Steelers Technology Department in the maintenance and support of hardware, software, and other systems. Responsibilities for the position include assisting in the identification, research, and resolution of user technology issues in all areas of technical operations for the Steelers’ front office and Acrisure Stadium.

**This is an onsite - regular work week schedule.

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings, and some holidays. Additional hours may also be required as part of an on-call rotation to cover some weekends, evenings, and holidays throughout the year.

The position is a one or two-year term position, with possible long-term placement for the right candidate.

  • Exposure to Azure, Azure active directory, and Endpoint manager
  • Exposure to Point-of-sale systems
  • Exposure to supporting Microsoft 365 suite of products
  • Exposure to various virtualization technologies
  • Exposure to databases and various backup solutions
  • Exposure to programming and automation technologies
  • Windows, MAC, iOS, Android provisioning and support

  • Supporting/troubleshooting of systems including computers printers and mobile devices
  • Helping solve various technical issues that may arise via help desk 
  • Writing and expanding upon technical documentation
  • Organize and maintain technology assets and inventory
  • Assist with support of desktop and laptop computers, printers, telephones, and mobile devices
  • Provide phone, in-person, and email support to onsite and remote users
  • Assist with configuring and distributing new desktop and laptop computers
  • Plan, design, and implement special projects
  • Assist with in-stadium networking and cabling
  • Assist with point-of-sale set-up, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Other Duties as assigned

  • Detail oriented with good communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and implement new technologies.
  • Basic Windows and MAC operating system knowledge
  • Networking knowledge
  • Ability to diagnose hardware and software issues as they arise
  • Committed to going “above and beyond” to serve the user
  • Ability to work in a high paced team or solo environment depending on tasks
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
