The Pittsburgh Steelers are seeking an experienced, creative and organized Executive Producer to lead the team’s video production efforts. He or she is passionate about creating all types of compelling video content for multiple platforms and audiences, and will serve as an effective leader of our video team in creating that content. 

The Executive Producer will lead by example and is responsible for overseeing the production process, including planning, execution and quality control. This person will manage a video editorial calendar, set assignments and will establish a consistent philosophy and approach that helps to ensure that the Steelers deliver high-quality, relevant video content to fans, that also enhances the Steelers brand, and helps to drive key areas of the business, including but not limited to, Content, Sales, Fan Engagement, Events and Community Relations. 

  • Guide the team’s video production efforts, which includes a variety of content types (interviews, live and pre-produced studio programming, features, highlights and audio) distributed on the team’s key platforms.
  • Uphold a high-level of quality for all video content produced, which includes the manner in which video content is captured, edited and finalized, for all platforms
  • Establish and manage a production calendar 
  • Establish consistent, forward-thinking planning and processes
  • Establish daily, weekly/monthly and special assignments for all members of the video production team
  • Oversee the planning and production of team-produced television programs, which includes overall look-and-feel, scripting and content included within
  • Write and/or review scripting – including those for video features, segments and programs
  • Review, analyze and provide feedback on video features, segments and programs 
  • Provide consistent feedback and guidance for members of the video production team
  • Ensure that all motion graphics produced are high-quality in nature and fit within the team’s creative guidelines
  • Work with the social media team to ensure that video content created for and published to the team’s social platforms is timely, compelling and high-quality  
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to continually evaluate content performance and adjust production plans and schedules based on these results
  • Work with key stakeholders throughout the organization to plan and produce high-quality video content that supports key programs and initiatives, including those for Community Relations, Sales, Fan Marketing and Events
  • Work with local media partners to consistently deliver compelling content for use on their platforms – which includes both video and audio content
  • Along with the Director of Content, manage the procurement and subsequent management of all production technology and equipment
  • Oversee the management of production studio and media storage workflows
  • Work with Sales & Activation teams to plan and execute high-quality content for the purpose of driving compelling activations and revenue opportunities
  • Manage the production of promotional assets, including television and radio spots, as required
  • Oversee the management of all third-party video production crews – used both locally and nationally
  • 10+ years of professional video production experience
  • 4+ years of experience in managing a team of producers/editors
  • Superior demonstrated understanding of video production and post-production processes, including lighting, shooting and/or editing
  • Superior demonstrated ability to produce quality video programming in a variety of formats, including features, interviews and studio programming
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how digital and social platforms operate and perform
  • Strong news judgement and writing skills
  • Ability to work and lead within a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and demonstrated ability to work and plan with large, diverse groups
  • Effective communicator – both verbal and written
  • Sports experience a must; NFL experience a plus
