This position is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the Business/Finance office. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of detail-oriented tasks with a positive attitude and professionalism. The position requires the ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative in a variety of operational and administrative areas.
**Internship Term: Full time (40 hours/week) onsite position - One year with a potential for second year
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Duties
• Assists senior accounting personnel with any tasks conducted within the accounting/finance department, including accounting, financial compliance, and reporting
• Assist with general accounting responsibilities such as recording account reconciliations, analysis
• Assist with processes that ensure timely and accurate financial reporting including revenue and cost analysis
• Prepare detailed account schedules
• Provide support for external audits and prepare documentation for external auditors
• Assist in the compilation of the annual financial reporting package for the NFL in relation to the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Work cross-functionally to collect, organize, and communicate strategies to executive leadership through development of clear and concise deliverables
• Act as a liaison between the finance and marketing departments to maintain accurate reports of revenue and expenses for specific marketing events throughout the year
• Support team with periodic reforecasting of department expenses and the review and maintenance of templates
• Utilize Sage Intacct to organize financial data used to create and analyze reports
• Utilize Ticketmaster’s Archtics system to analyze ticketing financials and create monthly reports
• Assist AP in processing purchase orders, and inputting and filing invoices as they come in
• Create and maintain file folders such as Contracts (Agreements/Licenses) and file items like bankruptcy notices, insurance certificates, etc.
• Maintain records/binders of bank deposits, including a breakdown of sponsors who submit payments via check each month
• Distribute mail and prepare outgoing mail, shipments including special handling requirements such as certified mail
• Cover the internal courier mail run when needed
• Other duties as assigned
Gameday & Event Duties
- Hire, manage, and provide communications for all 50-50 game day 50/50 staff
- Work together with internal staff to identify and solve gameday problems in a timely manner and implement strategies for future games
- Securely reconcile 50/50 sellings during the game
- Assist with concert merch for stadium shows
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
• Preferred degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, Sports Management or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities in a high energy environment
• Ability to maintain attention to detail and to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines
• Possess high level of verbal, written and interpersonal communications
• Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information
• Ability to work home games – includes evenings and weekends
• Must have a valid driver’s license
