Position Summary
The Philadelphia Eagles public relations intern will be heavily relied on to support all areas of the public relations department with the opportunity to assume new responsibilities as determined by the staff. This is a paid post-graduate position for 2019 College Graduates and does not require travel to road games. The public relations department is seeking a candidate with excellent writing, research and organizational skills. Prior experience in sports public relations or a related field is preferred. 
Position Responsibilities 
  • Manage and update the Philadelphia Eagles online media guide daily
  • Assist with updating player bios and researching statistics for the weekly media release
  • Assist with the compilation of in-game statistics and post-game notes
  • Staff all press conferences and player media availability sessions
  • Transcribe press conferences and player interviews
  • Distribute media credentials for daily availability at the NovaCare Complex and all games
  • Assist the public relations staff in booking and executing player interviews
  • Compile and distribute a daily media report, capturing high-level topics and stories
  • Support the non-football communications staff in their efforts to promote the organization’s business and community initiatives
  • General office work, administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations or related field 
  • General understanding of the NFL media landscape and football terminology
  • Excellent writing and communication skills 
  • Proofreading and transcribing experience
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and able manage multiple projects 
  • Knowledge and experience using Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary
