Join our dynamic IT department as a Help Desk Specialist within a premier professional sports franchise. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional technical support, resolving issues related to computer systems, devices, and software for our staff. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to ensure seamless technology operations.  Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, configure, and upgrade computer systems for employees to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues across computers, printers, mobile devices, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications for end-users to support operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for IT assets and equipment.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to user requests through the help desk system (Fresh Service).
  • Train new and existing employees on applications, technologies, and platforms to enhance user proficiency.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive user experience.
  • Safely lift and transport equipment of varying weights and sizes up to 50lbs.

Knowledge / Background Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of help desk experience in a corporate or high-paced environment, preferably supporting diverse technologies and end-users.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and technologies in a dynamic environment. 
  • Maintains composure and a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Enthusiastic about acquiring and applying new technical skills and knowledge to enhance team and user support.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage inventory, track requests, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Available to work a flexible 40-hour on-site schedule, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required, with minimal notice.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to team success in a professional sports franchise setting.

Technical / Functional Skills
  • Works independently and as a team member in a 24/7 availability environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (M365, Windows, Teams, Visio).
  • Knowledge of computer hardware (Desktops, Laptops and Mobile Devices).
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Working level of documentation skills.
  • Installing new software or updating existing software on computers and other devices on a network.
  • Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment such as workstations and mobile devices, along with their specifications.
