Technical Services: Production
A key role, providing technical & operational support to production and post production systems. You will work to maintain the highest levels of system reliability and user satisfaction across production, post production, studio production, transcode and file delivery systems.


Studio Production Head:
This role will also be the primary liaison between Production (edit suites and control room) and the studio.  This person will oversee the daily operations of the studio.  This means they will be responsible for crewing of the studio, keeping both staffing and programming schedules and making sure the equipment is working properly.
  • Person must be well versed in studio production both live and taped.
  • Overall understanding of technical integration of an advanced studio set up.
  • Preferably has directing and or technical directing experience. 
  • Knows editing software (preferably Avid) and has experience in post - production.
  • Knows camera technology and has shooting experience.
  • Knows audio mixing. 
  • Understands lighting and can light multiple studio configurations
  • Must have leadership ability.
  • Must have organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 support to all media technology systems and users.
  • Perform in-depth system maintenance, support and troubleshooting.
  • Support and document new systems and processes.
  • Liaise with third party vendors / support as required.
  • Work effectively within the Broadcast and Multimedia team.
  • Evaluate new technology and make recommendations as required.
  • Document systems and workflows for engineering and operational users.
  • Systems include (but are not limited to): 
    • Avid Media Composer 
    • Avid Nexis 
    • Avid Interplay 
    • Avid Media Central|UX 
    • Adobe Creative Suite 
    • Telestream Vantage 
    • Spectra Logic LTO 
    • TriCaster 460 Advanced Edition 
 
Experience and Requirements:
  • Five to ten years’ experience.
  • Studio, Production, Post Production and Broadcast engineering experience ideally educated to degree level or real - world equivalent preferably with appropriate qualifications such as Avid ACSR.
  • A high level of familiarity with non-linear video editing systems. Experience with video transcoding and file delivery.
  • SD / HD Video standards and track record of technical excellence with a willingness and ability to participate in developing business opportunities.
  • Able to work independently and with other members of a team. Able to create, read, and decipher system schematic drawings.
