The Partnership Service & Activation Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships, strategic planning, and the execution of the contractual benefits for corporate partners. The manager acts as the liaison between multiple partners and internal departments within the New York Jets. Additionally, the manager will also be responsible for inventory management and fulfillment of select areas for the Corporate Partnerships department as well as the management of Gameday Staff. The Manager of Partnership Service & Activation reports to the Director, Partnership Service & Activation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary contact to assigned partners, responsible for the facilitation and execution of partnership agreements
- Responsible for communicating particulars of all partnership benefits including deadlines, approval processes, and specifications to main points of contact at partner companies
- In tandem with the Corporate Partnerships Business Intelligence team, establish key performance metrics and partnership goals based on client’s unique business objectives
- Create and present mid-season and post-season partner recaps following key initiatives
- Consistently identify new ways of generating incremental revenue through account upsell and renewal discussions
- Assist in the renewal of assigned corporate partner agreements as they expire, including assessing the level at which renewal should be achieved and identifying at-risk partners early in sales process in collaboration with the sales team
- Manage available and sold corporate partnership inventory in select areas. Work with internal departments and external vendors for each element to ensure accurate execution
- Manage, train, and support the professional development of Gameday Staff & Partnership colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality performance
- Execute gameday and event responsibilities include activation setup, fulfilling sponsorship contract obligations, tracking deliverables, and creating meaningful in-person touchpoints with partners on-site.
- Available to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, holidays and gamedays)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred areas of study include Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a major league professional sports team preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
- Natural ability to develop a strong rapport and establish long-term relationships with partners, partnership sales team, and with other departments
- Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to details
- Must have a customer service focus with a spirit and emphasis on partnership development
- Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working with many categories of clients
- Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a growth-mindset and be enthusiastic to learn and take on new challenges
- Excited to be part of a team environment and be an individual contributor to the Activation department, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary, even when tasks fall outside of the expected job responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Salary range for this role: USD $75,000 to $85,000 per year and discretionary annual company bonus, dependent on the specific qualifications of the successful candidate.
