This position will be working to design, and implement, a data warehouse on Databricks infrastructure
collaborating with stakeholders in the Analytics and Development departments to meet their needs for
analysis, reporting and modeling. It will oversee the migration of current practices to new ones that will
scale with the expanding need for accurate data throughout the Jets organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, optimize, and continuously troubleshoot Extract / Transform / Load (ETL) processes
- Set up and maintain a medallion architecture for data processing
- Support reporting and analytics work done by team data analysts
- Ensure data compliance as dictated by our Privacy and Security Policies
- Develop processes ensuring data standards, security, stewardship, lineage, and metadata management
- Oversee all aspects of data warehouse operations, including defining and resolving database problems, tuning for performance, and managing storage
- Responsible for appropriate documentation development, including requirements, design, code documentation, test plans, and other related documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
- Business intelligence, data warehousing, and data integration experience
- Thorough knowledge of data warehouse design and integration principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server operations
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, Azure/AWS
- Experience using API’s returning JSON, XML, CSV formatted data
- Enjoy learning new technologies, conduct unsupervised research and share findings with the company
Required Skills:
- 1-2 years Databricks experience
- 1-2 years dbt experience
- Azure Data Factory knowledge
- Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure, integrity, and incompatibilities
- Experience supporting or using statistical and/or data mining applications.
- Experience with some programming language, Python/C#/VB.NET/R
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties to ensure company goals are met
Salary range for this role: USD $120,000 to $130,000 per year and discretionary annual company bonus, dependent on the specific qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
