Position Summary
The Seasonal Asset Management Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day of  the Chargers’ media asset management system, while also able to use technical skills to achieve goals and solve problems across the organization, reporting to the Production Engineer.


Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist Production Engineer in managing Asset Management System across entire organization 
    • Storing raw media assets, master and deliverable files, etc as they are created 
    • Logging media assets for editors to find 
    • Managing editors workflows for saving projects, ingesting media, etc. 
    • Adjusting & updating metadata fields and forms 
    • Assisting editors when problems arise 
    • Creating project collections for shoots 
    • Tagging and ingesting of historical assets 
    • Plan and execute possible enhancements to MAM 
  • Assist in devising solutions to unique technical problems
  • Utilize existing IT infrastructure to route video and audio signals to capture content
  • Build and maintain video fly packs for different executions throughout organization
  • Assist in managing production equipment inventory, organization of gear, sending gear for repair, researching new equipment, and preparing gear for games and other productions
  • Act as cinematographer or editor when needed


Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of cinema camera systems, audio recorders, and other production equipment
  • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy to understand way for video editors and managers
  • Strong organizational skills a must
  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite of applications
  • Previous experience with Media Asset Management systems such as Reach Engine, IPV, CatDV, etc. encouraged
  • Understanding of a variety of video codecs and containers
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Background of Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite

  • Knowledge of and passion for the NFL 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work in extremely high-pressure situations
  • Diligent with details
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours
