Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Activation
Position Summary:  The Manager, Corporate Partnership Activation, is responsible for the fulfillment, execution, and overall management of many of the Team’s corporate partnerships. The Manager will work closely with the partnership sales team throughout the new business process. The Manager must also have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Corporate Partnership department, including gameday operations, special events, community programs, research and business analytics, media management, and delivering ROI against the partnership objectives.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain keen understanding of the partner’s business objectives to develop compelling marketing and activation programs to maximize the partnership value for both the partner and the Team
  • Extensive knowledge of the entire category and industry of which partners are included
  • Manage partnership communications, including regular outreach calls, recap meetings, and presentations
  • Consistently optimize partner assets to align with changing objectives, new inventory that would further the partnership goals, and the overall evolving landscape
  • Manage the partnership through the entirety of its lifecycle, from onboarding through renewal
  • Collaborate across internal departments to ensure the seamless delivery of assets throughout the Marketing, Digital, Social Media, Communications, Community Relations, and other departments as relevant to the partnership
  • Manage various projects or disciplines within the Corporate Partnerships department that will positively impact the entire team and their strategy for current and new partners
  • Represent the Team at various networking events and participate in other League, Team, and community events
  • Build relationships with all decision makers and influencers of partnerships
 
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Proven history of successfully driving revenue for a premium rights holder
  • Ability to manage complex marketing partnerships
  • Professional approach that results in a level of trust and respect with internal stakeholders, maintaining a team first attitude that ensures team goals are achieved 
  • Work game days, weekends, and special events to entertain existing partners and new business prospects
  • Ability to travel as required for success
  • Extensive and proven integrated marketing experience with demonstrated success in the media, sports sponsorship, fulfillment or entertainment fields required
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and creatively solve day-to-day challenges
 
Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional sports team sales and activation, and/or agency experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (including CRM)
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Prezi, CustomShow and Photoshop preferred 
  • Ability to think creatively
