We are excited to hire an Equipment Intern for the 2024 football season! The Equipment Intern will be responsible for assisting with the duties of the equipment department to help it run successfully during training camp and regular football season.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Execute the daily laundry process of player, staff and administrative apparel throughout day preparing for practice and before and after games 
  • Assist in distribution and maintenance of equipment on a daily basis 
  • Assist coaching staff during all practices, including set up and maintenance of field equipment, drill work and ball spotting
  • Assist with other duties needed to support the equipment department by:
    • Facilitating in repair and maintenance of equipment  
    • Assisting in packing and restocking of equipment each week for appropriate game day conditions 
    • Assisting in transportation of equipment to and from all training camp and game day sites, including loading and unloading of trucks and planes 
    • Assisting in maintaining accurate size records for all players and staff 
    • Other duties as assigned 
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, communications, or related field
  • 1+ years football experience required
  • Recent equipment employment in a college equipment room
  • Cover letter, resume and references must be submitted at time of application
 
Preferred Expectations:
  • 2-3 years combined (college and/or other NFL Team) football equipment experience preferred
  • Professional certification from AEMA or comparable Equipment organization preferred
  • Previous experience supervising peers, fellow interns, student managers and/or ball boys 
  • Ability to operate any number of different technologies that relate to the fitting, use and maintenance of equipment and execution of practices and games
  • Ability to apply detail oriented and common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form within established deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with working under pressure
  • Willingness to work long and/or non-traditional hours
 
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this position pays $18.29/hour. This position will work 40+ hours a week with overtime starting July 2024 and ending after the 2024 football season. This position will be required to work game days and/or events outside of a normal working hours as needed. 
 
This position will be located at the Denver Broncos Training Center in Englewood, CO.
