We are excited to hire a Digital Content Intern for the 2024 football season! The Digital Content Intern will be responsible for assisting with content development and day-to-day content execution, especially articles, for DenverBroncos.com, the Broncos 365 mobile app and Denver Broncos social media channels as directed by the digital content staff. This position will contribute to: publishing of editorial content, including but not limited to news, feature and aggregation articles; capturing occasional photo content; the management of the Broncos’ website and app channels, including posting video and audio content; and assisting with the team’s printed publications.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Creates, edits, and publishes content to website and app by:
    • Writing articles for DenverBroncos.com, including but not limited to: feature stories, news stories, daily news aggregation blogs and Q&As 
    • Publishing website content including but not limited to: press releases, roster updates, player bios, videos, podcasts and galleries 
    • Copy editing others’ articles as needed 
    • Helping to ideate and execute content ideas for both DenverBroncos.com and Broncos social media platforms
  • Collects content for DenverBroncos.com and team channels by:
    • Conducting interviews with players, coaches and others for articles, Q&As or other content 
    • Assisting at press conferences by gathering audio as needed 
    • Transcribing audio as needed 
    • Covering team and organization events, including but not limited to practices, games and community and marketing events 
    • Providing occasional photography assistance as needed at community and marketing events
  • Assists in Broncos publication content production by:
    • Writing feature articles and other content for team publications, including Broncos Gameday and Broncos Magazine 
    • Editing content for the publications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or similar discipline
  • 1+ years of experience as a student working for a college newspaper, television or radio station, website, college sports information, office or in a communications department of a sports organization or in the sports industry
  • Ability to work flexible hours (weekends & holidays)

Skills Test: 
  • A skills test may be conducted with those candidates that are qualified.
 
Preferred expectations:
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have experience writing with AP Style
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to self-edit
  • Knowledge of navigating popular social media platforms
  • Experience with still photography and Adobe Photoshop

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this position pays $18.29/hour. This position will work 40+ hours a week with overtime starting July 2024 and ending after the 2024 football season. This position will be required to work game days and/or events outside of a normal working hours as needed. 
 
This position will be located at the Denver Broncos Training Center in Englewood, CO.
