We are excited to hire a Community Programs & Events Intern for the 2024 football season! The Denver Broncos Community Programs & Events Intern will support the Denver Broncos Community Impact team and the Denver Broncos Foundation in the office, at on and off-site events, and on game day. 
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist Denver Broncos Foundation with all departmental responsibilities: 
    • Support coordination and implementation of the Denver Broncos Foundation’s programming and events 
    • Support Broncos Family Network programming and events
    • Support development and execution of Broncos’ PLAY 60 programming
    • Assist with the execution of Denver Broncos Foundation gameday operations and activations throughout the season 
    • Plan and execute events/special group visits during Denver Broncos Training Camp 
    • Support logistics for and attend off-site community player appearances
    • Plan and execute select holiday programs aimed to serve youth in the community
    • Research projects as needed to support department initiatives and growth
  • Assist with administrative tasks:
    • Oversee fan correspondence including voicemails, mail, care packages, and email inquiries 
    • Provide positive customer service with knowledge of core values of the Denver Broncos organization 
    • Catalog and compile photos from community events for the department 
    • Interact with players, staff and the community in a professional manner 
    • Assist with and maintain the organization of internal storage areas
  • Assist Denver Broncos Foundation with select fundraising and finance-based projects and all associated reporting:
    • Oversee Denver Broncos Foundation Ticket Turnover community donation program
    • Assist with the annual Kickoff Luncheon fundraising event
    • Oversee Denver Broncos Foundation License Plate program
  • Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university or have completed a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university 
  • 3 months – 1 year of relevant experience/training
  • Ability to work all Broncos home games, nights/weekends, and keep a flexible schedule
 
Skills Test: 
  • A skills test may be conducted with those candidates that are qualified.
 
Preferred Expectations:
  • Non-profit, fundraising, and/or community service experience preferred
  • Sports industry and/or team experience (Pro, College, full-time, part-time) preferred
  • Event planning and logistics experience preferred
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information carefully and with sensitivity 
  • Customer service experience in a professional setting
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to thrive in pressure situations
  • Self-starter who can work independently when given a task and have the focus to follow through follow up if problems arise
  • Strong writing and computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel as well as large groups
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
 
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs or more.
  • This job requires regular and high levels of physical movement including bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing, and at times, it can be for sustained or lengthy periods of time (events, game day, etc.).
  • This is a fast-paced and physical internship and requires dexterity and mobility of the individual to complete tasks (cutting, sorting, lifting, making labels, etc.).
 
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this position pays $18.29/hour. This position will work 40+ hours a week with overtime starting April 2024 and ending after the 2024 football season. This position will be required to work game days and/or events outside of a normal working hours as needed. 

This position will be located at the Denver Broncos Training Center in Englewood, CO.
