The Youth Football Development Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of youth and high school football initiatives, with an emphasis on flag football. This role assists in delivering community programs, leagues, camps, and events that grow the game of football across the state of Texas. The Coordinator works closely with internal departments, league partners, schools, and community stakeholders to ensure programs associated with the Dallas Cowboys and NFL FLAG are executed efficiently and effectively. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Youth Football Development.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and execution of youth football and flag football programs across the DFW metroplex and the state of Texas
  • Assist with the planning and operations of Dallas Cowboys youth flag football leagues, clinics, and community events
  • Provide logistical and on-site event support for youth football programs, camps, and activations
  • Assist with initiatives focused on growing youth and high school football participation, including UIL and flag football efforts
  • Support the Youth Football Development Committee through meeting coordination, materials preparation, and follow-up communication
  • Help integrate youth football teams and participants into Dallas Cowboys game day themes and community engagement initiatives
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with youth football stakeholders, including schools, leagues, coaches, and community organizations
  • Support collaboration with league partners such as USA Football, GenYouth, NFL FLAG, RCX, and Tochito Football
  • Collect, organize, and maintain participation data, program metrics, and feedback to support reporting and program evaluation
  • Maintain and update the youth football contacts database for outreach and communication purposes
  • Assist with internal and external communications related to youth football programming.
  • Support the execution of Dallas Cowboys youth and specialty camps, including registration, logistics, on-site operations, and post-event follow-up
  • Assist with basic financial tracking related to youth football programs, camps, and events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting youth sports programs, leagues, or school-based athletics
  • Approx 40% of the role is leveraging administrative skills and being highly organized,
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint, along with the use of other Microsoft tools
  • Familiarity with flag football programming, rules, and best practices (NFL FLAG experience a plus)
  • Experience assisting with large-scale events, camps, or community activations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CRM or database tools a plus
  • Knowledge of the youth and high school football landscape in Texas, including UIL programs
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as require
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and run for extended periods during events
  • Ability to lift and transport event materials (up to 30 lbs)
  • Ability to travel locally 35% and internationally up to 5% of the time
