Position Profile: Photography Seasonal Assistant
Department: Production    
Reports to: Director of Photography

Status: Seasonal, Hourly

JOB SUMMARY: The Photography Seasonal Assistant position will assist the Chiefs in-house photographer with a wide variety of projects, including, but not limited to, shooting events, games, editing, cataloguing, and archiving images. Seasonal time frame May-March.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in shooting company events and assignments with a specific eye for high quality photos.
• Edit photos utilizing traditional editing and creative adjustments.
• Catalogue, organize, and archive photos using Photo Shelter as a database.
• Represent the Kansas City Chiefs in a positive and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Light office duties and activities.
• Able to work in a moderate to loud environment during events.
• Will be required periodically to lift and carry equipment totaling 50-75 lbs. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a Photography background or major and currently shooting.
• MUST submit a digital portfolio to be considered.
• Qualified candidates must possess superior organizational skills and be able to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting.
• Individuals must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of the Adobe Photoshop suite, Photo Mechanic, Microsoft, and various Social Media Platforms.
• Must be skilled in camera work and able to shoot and edit photos as well as tag metadata.
• Experience with light video editing is a plus.
• Must be a team player, willing to learn new concepts and processes, receive feedback, and willing to travel for shoots when necessary.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, as well as all Chiefs games, home and away.
