JOB SUMMARY: The Kansas City Chiefs are in search of a Photography Coordinator and Archivist who is creative, driven, and will create content, and help manage seasonal assistant. As well as edit and maintain all current and previous photo assets within the Kansas City Chiefs photography archive. The qualified candidate will be able to successfully manage multiple time-sensitive projects. Have an exceptional photography portfolio, pro level team experience, be highly organized, flexible, and be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work directly with the Kansas City Chiefs Creative departments to capture, edit and store images of practices, gamedays, community events, etc. by compiling images, inputting metadata, and publishing to website CMS.
- Print in house or help with ordering, selling, and organizing images for various departments within the Chiefs organization.
- Contribute to structure, management, and upkeep of the Kansas City Chiefs photography archive.
- Apply metadata to new, incoming photos taken by photo team and freelancers.
- Archive new incoming photos to the Chiefs digital photo library and distribute to appropriate parties.
- Work within Wrike to ensure all photo assignments/projects are scheduled, produced, and executed appropriately; brainstorm and implement new photographic procedures and technologies to department.
- Analyze current content and conceive new ideas with the Digital team to strategically reach and influence more digital viewers.
- Collaborate closely with the Kansas City Chiefs Football Team, Chiefs Cheerleaders, 65TPT Productions (In House Production Team), our Media and Marketing department to fulfill photo request for social media, articles, video thumbnails, behind the scenes, and more.
- Special projects such as, but not limited to, managing digital assets in the Content Management System.
- Knowledge of football (positions, plays, and players).
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years photographic team experience, post graduate preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in photo archiving and metadata input with Photo Mechanic and Adobe Bridge CC; Caption Pro, knowledge of Photo Shelter Libris, a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge in photo editing/retouching on Adobe Photoshop CC.
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Versatility and ability to multi-task are a must.
- Must be available to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time throughout shift and working in all weather conditions.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 40+lbs.
- Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
