Position Profile: Senior Director of Partnership Development
Department: Partnership Strategy & Development
Reports to: Vice President of Partnership Development
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Partnership Development will be responsible for the cultivation sale of new Corporate Partnerships for the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club; will negotiate and sell in a team sales environment; will execute sales prospecting process to grow new business for the club.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Pursue and develop relationships with decision makers within potential partners businesses that result in new, multi-year partnerships for the Kansas City Chiefs.
  2. Negotiate partnership contracts on behalf of the Kansas City Chiefs, including provisions related to in-stadium, digital content, in-market activation, advertising, appearances, community relations, tickets, hospitality, etc.
  3. Contribute to the ideation around key platforms that could be established to provide a potentially impactful sales proposition.
  4. Ability to leverage new and existing relationships with Digital and Advertising agencies
  5. Develop partnership collateral focused on a potential partner’s business, clearly establishing the understanding of the goals and objectives of the company with whom business is being pitched.
  6. Meet or overachieve new business sales targets with innovative strategies to drive sales. This may include the research, review and maintenance of ongoing competitive market analysis including financial and demographic factors.
  7. Oversee seamless transfer of the executed partnership programs to the Partnership Service & Activation staff to ensure Kansas City Chiefs compliance with contractual obligations.
  8. Host new and potential partners at games and events to build and develop key relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

  1. Four (4) year college degree
  2. Sales experience with professional sports organization or entertainment property
  3. Minimum of six (6) years of experience leading projects and/or sales efforts
  4. Experience utilizing internal resources, vendors & business partners to drive Partnership growth
  5. Proven track record in negotiating multi-year deals valued at six and seven figures annually
  6. Computer skills -- proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and online research
  7. Experience with KORE CRM is a plus
